Our next event

So our next event is coming up in a couple of weeks time. There is information at the bottom of this post. I will be organising a van so you need to get in touch with me if you would like to get a ride out. We will be meeting at girls high school at 8.30am.

You will need to bring $3 towards the map, and if you need to get a ride in the van then you will need to bring a extra $5.

EVENT- SUNDAY 21st AUGUST- TANGITERORIA FOREST

Come and enjoy another forest event. Definitely a good morning out to experience a scamper or meander through the lush fern and punga groves !. There will be courses for everyone.

Where- Tangiteroria forest- approx 28km from Whangarei

How to get there-  take SH14 to Dargavillle, travel through Maungatapere, turn Right into Whatitiri rd after about 6km,travel another 5km then turn Left into Carruth rd. Go to the end to turn around and parking will be along roadside. Look out for the orange trailer.
Time- start times from 10- 10:45 am. Course closure at 1pm.
Bring-  comfortable clothing and shoes.Whistle, compass and drink.
Cost $7 students, $10 adults.
There will be a white/yellow , orange and red course

Well Congradulations Junior Adventure Racers. Our first win this year, hopefully the beginning of many more. Alot of work infront of us and alot of events to come. I am very proud of all the teams that particiapted and am happy that all the hard work paid off. All teams really performed and I am glad that you stepped up to the tasks set before you.
Lets start looking ahead to the up and coming events on our calander.

Sunday 7th of August

Hi Guys and Gals
So on Sunday at 3pm I thought it would be worth our while having a bit more of a run around at Barge Park. This is not compulsory however if you would like to navigate on Tuesday it could be worth while.
Please bring a raincoat, water bottle, food and good running shoes And compass.
I will make a final decision about this training on sunday morning, just encase the weather is no good.

Training This Weekend

Hi Guys and Gals,
I would really like us to have another Mt bike training. On Saturday this weekend at Glenbervie forest is Race 3, "The epic". We will meet at 2.30pm at the carpark by the adventure ropes course at glenbervie forest. Please bring your bike, but don't worry if you can't get a one. You will also need to bring a gold coin. Remember water, tyre kit, thermal and a raincoat.

This is not compulsory however I think it would be a great opportunity for you to get more experience and confidence in your mt bike skills.
