New Zealand SS Rogaine Champs- Christchurch

Hi Team,

Here is the final details for this event. Please keep an eye on the blog until Thursday, I will put all changes in Red. The kids only have 7kg carry on luggage, please be mindful when packing. Everything needs to be packed into one bag, which may mean that your race pack is tucked inside of your travel bag. Please also think about weather one person in your team will be carrying some of their team mates gear.

As many of you will be running in cross country this Friday we will not meet to train. However if you want to look at the map from last year then please contact me and I will drop it off at school.

Saturday:
Meet at WGHS Gym carpark at 3.05. Van leaves at 3.15 am. If you are running late you need to contact Callum. If you need Callums number then please get it from him this week.

Flight Auckland- Christchurch (Jetstar) departs at 6.45am arrives at 8.10am (liv will pick up at Airport) We will be going straight to the event from the airport as it is on the otherside of town and we have not travelled all this way to be late. This gives everyone time to repack their bags and get their gear all sorted.

Hillary Gear List

Hey Seniors,

This time next week we will have finished our first day of activities!!!

The list below is above and beyond what Hillary outdoors has asked you to bring. I have emailed your parents a few other pieces of information, however please read this carefully. I will stop adding to the list on Wednesday.

Saturday night:
We will be staying in hamilton. I dont want to get big bags out so in a small pack have everything you need for that night, including sleeping bag.

Gear:
2x coat hangers
Head Torch
Pen and Highlighter
2x black rubbish bag
Jandals for showers
Snacks- Baking required (Brownie, Lollie Slice, Tanias Slice), if there is any specific stuff you want then you must bring it. Remember that Hillary outdoors gives lots of food for the expidetition and if you dont eat it then you will be carrying it, so I can understand multi sport food but think carefully about the expedition. New World is providing fruit, up and go, replace, baking and museli bars.
