This weekend they are having a new orienteering event in town. Urban orienteering is always fun, plus we get to see new parts of town.

"SPRINTCITY"- Sunday 22nd July
Come try something different. We have not
set this type of event up here before.But seeing that there will be "sprint"
event as part of the Auckland Champs that will be held up here in October we
thought it would be fun to give you an idea what its about.
A Sprint is
tradionally a fast running course ( but as always we will have running
/walking/family sections -So don't be put off by the word
"sprint"!!!),navigation is generally easier,controls are closer together,but the
descision making needs to be fast and accurate to make good time.
There are 1
and 3km courses.
Meet at the Town Basin Playground.
