Gear List for ARC 16th-18th March


I hope that you are all getting excited about ARC, this will be our biggest attendance at this event yet with 18 WARTS entered. You need to read through the information below and if you have any questions don't hesitate to call. Please note the gear that I will supply, I also have some race packs. If you have a bike rack could you please let me know. One more thing, please spend time looking over maps of the area.

Gear List

This gear must be carried on you at all times during the race:
First Aid Kit (I will supply)
Compass (2 per team)
Survival Blankets
Polypropylene top and bottom
Fleece Top (long sleeves)
Fleece or woollen hat
Whistle
Woollen or poly gloves
Waterproof jacket
Multipurpose knife (1 per team)
Cell phone (1 per team)
4 metre length on rope
Life Jacket
Water Bottle 2L

Mountain Bike Section: Please check your mt bike before next week so that any problems can be fixed in time)
Mountain Bike
Spare Tube
Pump that fits your tube
Rear Strobe light

Trek Section:
Suitable backpack
Headlamp (I can supply, so let me know if you need one)
1 Glow stick

Extra Gear:
Tent (Every Team will need a tent)
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping Mat
Black Rubbish Bag
2x Towels
Togs
Toiletries and any potions you need
Jandals
Sunscreen
Hat
PJ’s
Jumper
Change of clothes (for the trip down and home)

Food: You will need to organise dinner for the Friday and Saturday night. I suggest that you organise this within your teams. We will have cookers at the campsite. Please make sure you pack a lot of food for the race day as you could be racing for longer than 8 hours (Lollies are not enough). There is water at the campsite and showers/beach over the road.
*Please be mindful that there are a lot of us travelling down and that we don’t have a lot of room so stick to the list and nothing more. If you are having issues sourcing gear please come to me asap and don’t leave it to the last minute.
